starting a business
In Colombia we have made strides in this area but we lack,
but happily I can say that today the paperwork and days required to register a
business have been significantly reduced, this allows our level of competition
is higher relative to other countries.
To get down the first thing that should be clear to start a
business is the idea and the conviction to be an entrepreneur, to know that is
a tough process full of challenges permanent. Following the idea, develop it
into a business plan, which is the core document that becomes the manual
operations of our organization, we must make a serious work in this preliminary
stage, making a Detailed Market Research , Administrative Structure design,
evaluate and analyze the project financially, among other vital areas within
companies.
Also you must be aware that this document becomes the letter
of the fledgling company to participate in calls or Back to get the idea
embodied in the PDN, proceed to choose what kind of society we will be as this
determines the following registration and enrollment, briefly mention the types
of companies and enterprises, with their respective characteristics considering
should review the purpose of our company, the number of partners, the degree of
obligation and responsibility to take obtain investors.
If our enterprise, has no partners, we have two valid
alternatives, these are: enroll in Chamber of Commerce as Merchant-Individual
or sign up as a sole proprietorship, which has similar characteristics to the
Limited Partnership.
When we are clear about what kind of company we will be we
begin the process with the different entities. Which I describe below:
ANTE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE:
1. Check the availability of the name.
2. Fill out the Registration Form and Registration.
3. Completing the Application Annex DIAN NIT. (You can also
do in the DIAN).
4. Pay the registry value and enrollment.
BEFORE THE NOTARY:
1. Deed. (This must be filed with Chamber of Commerce at the
time of registration)
Please note: All kinds of commercial company, if less than
10 employees to 500 minimum wages or asset at the time of the constitution, not
to constitute a public need.
DIAN:
1. Register the RUT (Unified Tax Registry).
2. Obtaining the NIT (Tax Identification Number).
BEFORE THE SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY OF THE MAYOR:
1. Registry of Trade and Industry.
2. Registration of Land Use, Health and Safety Policies.
NOTE: The procedures of DIAN and Ministry of Finance, can be
performed in the case of some cities directly to the Chamber of Commerce.
In conclusion I must say that this article consists of my
personal opinions and research work, and I know it will serve as a reference
and starting point to create their businesses, but I recommend advice, because
each case is variable, and these procedures may vary in different cities.
